American Honda takes position on replacement parts

American Honda announced in a March 22, 2010 press release that the company "does not support the use of...anything other than original Honda or Acura parts" for repair of their vehicle line.

In addition, American Honda does not support using or re-using parts from an existing, previously damaged vehicle.
